Such helm

39、ets can also be used for lacrosse and ringette.1.2The intent of this Standard is to reduce the risk of focal injury to the head without compromising theform or appeal of the game. This reduction of risk is based on the use of the helmeta) as intended within the rules of the game; andb) in accordance

40、 with the manufacturers instructions.Note: Ice hockey is a sport in which there is a risk of injury. Helmets meeting the requirements of this Standardafford no protection from neck or spinal injuries. Severe head, brain, or spinal injuries, including paralysis or death,can occur in spite of using a

41、helmet certified to this Standard.1.3This Standard specifies requirements for the following items as they relate to ice hockey helmets:a) construction;b) penetration;c) shock absorption;d) retention systems;e) field of view;f) markings; andg) user information1.4This Standard covers helmets that are
