The standard had to be revised to bring it into line with European Standard DIN EN 14566:2008-04 “Mechanical fasteners for gypsum plasterboard systems Definitions, requirements and test methods
7、” and to provide proof of the equivalence of the fasteners as required by further applicable national standards (such as DIN 4102-4, DIN 4109 Supple-ment 1, DIN 1052 and DIN 18183-1) in order to provide proof of the fire resistance, sound insulation and strength of systems using gypsum plasterboard
8、as in DIN EN 520, DIN EN 14190 and DIN 18180. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. 10、e This standard specifies requirements for mechanical fasteners intended to be used for gypsum plasterboard systems in construction works in accordance with DIN EN 14566:2008-04. This standard applies to heat-treated dry wall steel screws for use with power tools to fix gypsum plasterboard complying
11、 with DIN 18180, DIN EN 14190 and DIN EN 520 in accordance with the specifications given in DIN 18181; staples and nails for fixing gypsum plasterboard complying with DIN 18180, DIN EN 14190 and DIN EN 520 to a substructure of timber or other appropriate materials in accordance with DIN EN 520. 2 No

16、efinitions in DIN EN 14566 apply. 4 Dimensions, designation, application 4.1 General Screws, nails and staples shall meet the requirements specified in DIN EN 14566. 4.2 Dry wall screws The dimensions of dry wall screws shall be as given in Table 1. 34、s shall be flat or be provided with a spherical recess. 5 Requirements 5.1 General The specifications given in DIN EN 14566 shall apply with regard to reaction to fire, bending behaviour and re-lease of hazardous substances. If staples, nails and screws are to be taken into account for the verificat
35、ion of loadbearing capacity, nails and screws shall comply with DIN EN 14592 and staples with DIN 1052. 5.2 Dry wall screws 5.2.1 General Dimensions and deviations shall be as given in Table 1. For the design and dimensional accuracy of dry wall screws, product grade A according to DIN 267-2 or DIN
36、EN ISO 4759-1 shall apply, unless otherwise specified in this standard. 5.2.2 Material The material of dry wall screws shall be as specified in DIN EN 14566 or DIN EN 14592. 5.2.3 Corrosion protection The corrosion protection of dry wall screws shall meet the requirements for corrosion protection cl
37、ass 48 as specified in DIN EN 14566. 5.3 Staples 5.3.1 General Dimensions and deviations shall be as given in Table 2. 39、rosion stresses shall meet the requirements specified in DIN 1052:2008-12, Table 2. 5.3.4 Resin coating Staples may be resin coated. Staples which are taken into account for the verification of loadbearing capacity are required to be resin coated. 5.4 Nails 5.4.1 General Dimensions and deviations sh
40、all be as given in Table 3. 5.4.2 Material The material of nails shall be as specified in DIN EN 14566 or DIN EN 14592. 5.4.3 Corrosion protection The specifications given in DIN EN 14566 shall apply. 5.4.4 Resin coating Nails may be resin coated. 5.4.5 Types The head types shall be selected so that
41、 the plasterboard is not damaged when fixed using a driving tool.
