The standard which this document replaces, DIN EN 14351-1-1:2010-08, may be used in parallel with this standard during a specified transition period

National foreword This document (EN 14351-1:2006+A2:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 33 “Doors, windows, shutters, building hardware and curtain walli

8、ng” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was DIN-Normenausschuss Bauwesen (DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering), Working Committee NA 005-09-01 AA Tren, Tore, Fenster, Abschlsse, Baubeschlge und Vorhangfassaden (SpA zu CEN/TC 33 und

9、 ISO/TC 162). This document includes Amendment A1, approved by CEN on 2010-01-31, and Amendment A2, approved by CEN on 2016-07-11. The main changes introduced by Amendment 2 of the new edition of EN 14351-1 concern the title and the scope according to the ECs request and the CEN/TC 33 decisions D101

10、0 (April 2014), D1074 and D1089 (April 2015). This standard includes safety requirements. This standard contains specifications giving detail to the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC (valid until 28 December 2009), and the “revised Machinery D

11、irective”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apples to industrial sewing machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives.

12、 Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). This product standard specifies most

13、performance characteristics and classes for windows and external pedestrian door sets throughout Europe. It provides planners, users and manufacturers with a basis for the evaluation of windows and external pedestrian doorsets in general and in specific applications. Planners are to specify the perf

14、ormance requirements on the basis of this standard with particular care, taking into consideration the relevant national technical rules. DIN EN 14351-1:2016-12 3 DIN EN 14351-1:2010-08 also implements the Construction Products Directive (CPD) (Directive 89/106/EC). Manufacturers meet the requiremen

15、ts of the CPD by designing their products as described in Annex ZA and then applying the CE marking. With this marking, manufacturers declare conformity of the product with the relevant European directives, allowing them to place their product on the European market. The EU Member States must formul

16、ate their building regulations in accordance with the performance classes and characteristics given in Annex ZA. The CE marking and accompanying information, including levels and/or classes of the essential characteristics listed in Annex ZA, serve as proof of conformity. In many cases, however, the

17、 CE marking alone is not a sufficient description of the necessary performance of the product. In addition to the characteristics covered by Annex ZA, other characteristics named in DIN EN 14351-1:2010-08 and, in some cases, further characteristics are normally relevant to the evaluation of performa

18、nce. These are not included in the CE marking. Annex ZA describes the method of evaluating the conformity of serial products. In this case, the manufacturers declaration is based on initial type testing by a notified body. For non-serial products, initial type testing of the characteristics listed i

19、n Annex ZA may be carried out by the manufacturer himself or by an approved body of his choice, according to Article 13 (5) of the Construction Products Directive. Testing is also to be carried out using standard test equipment and under standard test conditions. The concepts of series production an

20、d individual (non-series) production are defined in EU Guidance Paper M (concerning Council Directive 89/106/EEC (CPD) “Conformity assessment under the CPD: type testing and Factory production control”. The determination of additional characteristics not included in Annex ZA is not part of initial type testing and may also be carried out by the manufacturer or an approved body of his choice.

22、 In Germany the Construction Products Directive has been implemented by the Bauproduktengesetz (BauPG) and the Landesbauordnungen (LBO). For performance characteristics which are not declared by the manufacturer, the “npd option” (npd = no performance determined) is to be used. In Germany, the follo

23、wing characteristics are deemed relevant to building regulations, depending on the intended use (see also the current Liste der Technischen Baubestimmungen (List of acknowledged technical rules for works) available from the highest building authorities and from the DIBt (see their web site): Deflect

25、alue) as proof of compliance with the German Energieeinsparverordnung (EnEV); total solar energy transmittance (g value) as proof of compliance with the German Energieeinsparverordnung (EnEV); air permeability as proof of compliance with the German Energieeinsparverordnung (EnEV); load capacity, tak

26、ing the actions covered in DIN 1055-4 (wind loads) into consideration. DIN EN 14351-1:2016-12 4 Values taken from tables, obtained in analyses or in measurements may be used for determining performance characteristics, as specified in DIN EN 14351-1 Information on determining performance characteris

27、tics such as resistance to wind loads, watertightness and air permeability on the basis of local wind loads in Germany is given in ift Guideline FE-05/2:2005-08, Einsatzempfehlungen fr Fenster und Auentren (Recommendations for windows and external doors). DIN 18055 also gives information on this. Fu

28、rthermore, when determining performance characteristics during the planning stage, the DIBt Guidelines Technische Regeln fr Verwendung von linienfrmig gelagerten Verglasungen (TRLV) and Technische Regeln fr die Verwendung von absturzsichernden Verglasungen (TRAV) are to be observed. DIN 18008-1 and

29、DIN 18008-2 will also give information on this. Powered pedestrian doors have been deleted from the scope of this standard. They shall not be provided with CE marking in accordance with this standard. In Germany, the requirements of DIN 18650-1 and DIN 18650-2 apply. Amendments This standard differs
