This document is the National Annex to DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12; Eurocode 1: Actions on structures Part 1-3: General actions Snow loads. E

6、uropean Standard EN 1991-1-3 allows national safety parameters, referred to as Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs), to be specified for a number of points. The NDPs cover alternative verification methods, the provision of individual values and the selection of classes from designated classificat

7、ion systems. The relevant parts of the text are identified in the European Standard by references to the possibility of national choice and are listed in Clause NA.2.1. This National Annex also includes non-contradictory complementary information (NCI) for the application of DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12.

8、 This National Annex is an integral part of DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12. DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12 and this National Annex DIN EN 1991-1-3/NA:2010-12 supersede DIN 1055-5:2005-07. Amendments This document differs from DIN 1055-5:2005-07 as follows: a) provisions of DIN 1055-5:2005-07 relevant to the natio

9、nal application of DIN EN 1991-1-3 have been incorporated; b) Subclause 5.3.6 (1) has been revised taking into account the complementary national rules from DIN 1055-5. 10、nal Annex contains national provisions relating to the underlying principles behind the determination of snow loads for the calculation and design of buildings and civil engineering works, that are to be taken into consideration when applying DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12 in Germany. This National Annex i

11、s only valid in conjunction with DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12. NA 2 National provisions for application of DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12 NA 2.1 General DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12 refers to the option of choosing Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs) in the following places in the text: 1.1(2), 1.1(4) 2(3), 2(4)

12、 3.3(1), 3.3(3) 4.1(1), 4.2(1), 4.3(1) 5.2(1), 5.2(4), 5.2(5), 5.2(6), 5.2(7), 5.2.(8), 5.3.3(4), 5.3.4(3), 5.3.4(4), 5.3.5(1), 5.3.5(3), 5.3.6(1), 5.3.6(3) 6.2(2), 6.3(1), 6.3(2) A(1) (in Table A.1) In addition, NA 2.2 includes non-contradictory complementary information for the application of DIN

13、EN 1991-1-3:2010-12. This information is preceded by the letters “NCI”. 6.4(1) NA 2.2 National provisions In the following, clauses are numbered as in DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12. 1 General 1.1 Scope NDP re 1.1(2) For structures at altitudes above 1 500 m, reference values shall be specified by the resp

14、onsible authority on a case-by-case basis. NDP re 1.1(4) Annex B is not to be applied in Germany. NOTE The term “exceptional snow drifts” used in the title of Annex B does not relate to design situations according to DIN EN 1990:2002-10, 4.1.1(2). The upper and lower restriction of snow drifts using the exceptional snow load approach according to 4.3 is dealt with in the NDP re 5.3.6(1). 3 Design situations 3.3 Exceptional

16、conditions NDP re 3.3(1) Where the responsible authorities specify local exceptional snow loads (see national provisions re 4.3(1), the particular local effects according to Section 6 of the standard shall be based on the design situation according to 3.3(1) (referred to as Case B1 in Annex A). NDP

18、assignment of administrative units into the snow load zones in Figure NA.1, particularly at interzonal boundaries. In zones 1 to 3, the characteristic values of the snow loads on the ground shall be obtained from Equations (NA.1) to (NA.3) as a function of the snow load zone and the height of the gr

19、ound above sea level. The characteristic values in zones 1a and 2a are obtained by multiplying the values from zones 1 and 2 by the factor 1,25. The local authori

22、ties shall be consulted for information on the snow load in these locations. Examples of such locations are: the upper Harz mountains; higher regions of the Fichtelgebirge; Reit im Winkl; Obernach (Walchensee). 4.2 Other representative values NDP re 4.2(1) The recommended values apply. 4.3 Treatment

23、 of exceptional snow loads on the ground NDP re 4.3(1) In the North German Lowland there have been rare cases of snow loads exceeding the design values severalfold. The responsible authorities can determine the reference values in the affected regions. These shall be considered as additional, accide

24、ntal, actions for the purposes of DIN EN 1990. 5 Snow load on roofs 5.2 Load arrangements NDP re 5.2(1) See NDP re 1.1(4). NDP re 5.2(4) There are no further national provisions. However, instead of using the shape coefficients according to DIN EN 1991-1-3:2010-12, Figure 5.4 the shape coefficients from

27、Figure NA.3 are to be applied. The shape coefficient 2(see Table 5.1) may be limited to 1k+sh. where is the unit weight of snow that can be assumed to the nearest 2 kN/m3for the purpose of this calculation; h is the elevation of the ridge above the eaves, in m; skis the characteristic snow load, in

33、tions NDP re 6.2(2) See NDP re 1.1(4). 6.3 Snow overhanging the edge of a roof NDP re 6.3(1) Consideration of the cantilevered parts of a roof to determine the load on the eaves is to be carried out irrespective of the elevation of the site. 34、ficient k of 0,4 to take into account the shape of the overhanging snow may be used in Germany. If snow guards or comparable equipment are distributed over the surface of the roof and these effectively prevent the snow from sliding down, and if these are calculated as in 6.4, the approach using the

35、line load need not be used. 6.4 Snow loads on snow guards and other obstacles NCI re 6.4(1) Complementary information: If snow guards are used to reduce snow loads on the structure (e.g. loads from snow sliding down onto lower roofs (see 4.2.7), or if other obstacles are installed on the roof that c

36、ause sliding snow to pile up, a snow load (Fsper m length) as shown in Figure NA.4 shall be assumed.
