National foreword This standard includes safety requirements. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 145

4、“Plastics and rubber machines” (Secretariat: UNI, Italy), Working Group WG 5 “Blow moulding machines Safety”. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee NA 060-14-05 AA Blasformmaschin

5、en Sicherheit of Section Kunststoff- und Gummimaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of blow moulding machines, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex

6、 I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive“, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to blow moulding machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA

7、. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the r

8、equirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in clause 2 of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. For the International Standard referred to there is no national document

9、 available. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 422:1995-06 as follows: a) The significant hazards are dealt with in general; they are not associated with specific machine areas. b) Dip blow moulding machines and machines using fluorine or other toxic fluids are not within the scope of this

10、 standard. c) Clause 3 “Terms and definitions” has been revised. d) Hazards generated by noise are no longer covered in this standard. e) Subclause 7.2 “Marking” has been rendered more precise. f) Protection types I, II and III have been replaced by required performance levels PLr in accordance with

11、 EN 13849-1:2006. DIN EN 422:2009-10 EN 422:2009 (E) 5 Introduction This European Standard is a type C standard as defined in EN ISO 12100-1:2003. The machinery concerned and the extent t

29、o which hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the pro

30、visions of the other standards for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. DIN EN 422:2009-10 EN 422:2009 (E) 6 1 Scope This European Standard covers essential health and safety requirements for the design of blow moulding machines for the proc

31、essing of plastics. The significant hazards inherent in blow moulding machines are listed in Clause 4. This European Standard does not cover dip blow moulding machines. This European Standard does not cover hazards due to the use of fluorine or other toxic fluids. The safety requirements for the int

32、eraction between blow moulding machines and ancillary equipment are stipulated. The technical safety requirements for the design of this equipment are not covered. This European Standard does not cover the requirements for the design of the exhaust system. The European Standard does not cover noise

33、hazards. This European Standard is not applicable to blow moulding machines which are manufactured before the date of its publication as an EN. A transition period until 28N1)December 2009 is foreseen during which the manufacturer may choose to apply either this or the previous version of the standa
