4、as been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 192 “Fire service equipment”, Working Group WG 1 “Hoses for firefighting” (both secretariats are held by BSI, United Kingdom). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Feuerwehrwesen (Firefighting and Fire Protecti

This European Standard contains test methods which have been taken, without technical amendment, from the fo

6、ur currently valid European Standards on fire-fighting hoses (DIN EN 694:2007-07, DIN EN 1947:2007-07, DIN EN 14540:2007-07 and DIN EN ISO 14557:2008-01), and then combined into one testing standard. In the future, these four standards will only contain requirements. Although there have been no tech

7、nical changes made to the test methods, some formatting changes have been necessary to ensure uniformity within the present European Standard. This European Standard is only to be used for fire-fighting hoses that are standardized at European level. It is NOT to be used for fire-fighting hoses stand

8、ardized at national level (in Germany, these are layflat hoses as in DIN 14811). Upon publication of the present standard, the European Standards on fire-fighting hoses, DIN EN 694:2007-07, DIN EN 1947:2007-07 and DIN EN 14540:2007-07 will be revised in that the Annexes containing the test methods w

9、ill be deleted, in accordance with the Resolutions made by CEN/TC 192. This is why the notice of supersedure on the title page only says “partially supersedes”. An editorial revision of the suction hose standard DIN EN ISO 14557:2008-01 has not yet been decided on by ISO/TC 45 “Rubber and rubber pro

10、ducts”, which is why that standard is not inlcuded in the notice of supersedure. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. DIN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. Although no technical changes have been introduced, some changes to the format of the test methods had to be made to enable them to be included in this European Standard. The published EN fire

35、-fighting hose standards will be revised to remove the test method annexes following the publication of this European Standard. 37、 15889:2011-09 EN 15889:2011 (E) 5 1 Scope This European standard specifies test methods for lay-flat fire-fighting hoses for fixed systems, semi-rigid fire-fighting hoses for both fixed systems and vehicles and fire-fighting suction hoses for vehicles. These test methods are required for the standa

38、rds for fire-fighting hose product standards developed by CEN/TC 192. Consequently, the applicable test methods are selected and the requirements and test values defined in the relevant fire-fighting hose product standards and normatively referenced in those standards. This European Standard does no

39、t cover test methods for lay-flat fire-fighting hoses for vehicles for which no European standard exists. NOTE Annex R (informative) lists the existing published ISO and EN hose test methods standards that are specified within fire-fighting hose standards. 2 Normative references The following refere
