7、ting of raw, refined and boiled linseed oil have been combined into one standard. b) As regards requirements for raw linseed oil (formerly in DIN 55930): 1) Water content by mass is specified rather than volatile matter content. 2) The Gardner colour system is used rather than the iodine colour syst
8、em, and a Gardner colour number after heating is now specified. 3) Determination of the ash content and unsaponifiable matter content, testing for the presence of fish oils, and bleach testing are no longer specified. 4) The phosphoric acid test (PAT) is now specified. c) As regards requirements for
9、 boiled linseed oil (formerly in DIN 55932): 1) The refractive index is no longer included. 2) Water content by mass is specified rather than volatile matter content. 3) The Gardner colour number is to be agreed. 4) An additional drying time (15 h at 25 C to 30 C) is now included. 5) The maximum aci
10、d value has been changed from 5 mg KOH/g to 8 mg KOH/g.
