4、h-moving machinery” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 151 “Construction equipment and building material machines Safety” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committe
5、e), Section Bau- und Baustoffmaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of earth-moving machinery, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. Amendment of the European Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standar
6、d, EN ISO 2860:1999, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC (valid until 28 December 2009), and the “revis
7、ed Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to earth-moving machinery that is either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the dir
8、ectives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The International Standards r
9、eferred to in clause 2 of this document have been published as the corres-ponding DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. This standard makes reference to documents which were valid as of the publication of the International Standard. Since then, the International Standards ISO 3411-1995 and ISO

It provides engineers and designers with information in order that the access openings provided on equipment and machinery for purposes of in- spection, adjustment and maintenance have suffi- cient dimensions for the intended function by per

Larger openings wi
30、ll be needed in specific instances, depending upon the nature of the task, size and mass of the parts, etc. Such larger openings can be more useful and allow greater ef- ficiency. The larger openings for access with arctic clothing are for earth-moving machines and equipment in- tended for use in co
31、ld environments. Based on available anthropometric data, the rec- ommended openings, in figures 1 to 5, are the smallest that will accommodate the 95th percentile operator as defined in ISO 341 1.
