7、2012 + Corr.1:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 131 “Fluid power systems”, Subcommittee SC 7 “Sealing devices”, Working Group WG 3 “Fluid power systems and components Sealing devices Design criteria for standard O-ring applications”. The responsible German body involved in its pr

8、eparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-36-73 AA O-Ringe of Section Fluidtechnik. Technical Corrigendum 1 to ISO 3601-1:2012 has been incorporated: in Table A.2, fifth row, “17,5 mm” has been replaced with “17,54 mm” and i

9、n Annex B, “37,2 lx” has been replaced with “400 lx”. Because the responsible German Committee had already influenced the development of ISO 3601-1:2008 to a great extent, the Committee decided to adopt it, unchanged, as DIN ISO 3601-1:2010-08. The revised edition of the International Standard (ISO

10、3601-1:2012) has thus been adopted, unchanged, as the present standard for the same reason. Even though the International Standard does not fully conform with national expectations due to different market philosophies among regional markets, the existence of an ISO Standard in parallel with a DIN St

11、andard can be done away with and the ISO Standard can be published as a DIN ISO Standard without any changes. International Standards referred to in this standard have been published as the corresponding DIN ISO or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. For ISO 5598, ISO 16031-1 and ISO 16031-2

12、there are no national standards available. 14、rough a fluid (liquid or gas) under pressure within an enclosed circuit. To avoid leakage or to seal different chambers of a component from each other, sealing devices are used. O-rings are one type of sealing device. 4 1 Scope This part of ISO 3601 specifies the inside diameters, cross-sections, to

15、lerances and designation codes for O-rings used in fluid power systems for general industrial and aerospace applications. The dimensions and tolerances specified in this part of ISO 3601 are suitable for any elastomeric material, provided that suitable tooling is available. NOTE The tooling most com

16、monly available is based on 70 IRHD NBR shrinkage rates (see ISO 48). For materials that shrink differently from this standard NBR compound, a special mould can be required to maintain the mean diameters and the tolerance limits listed. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are i

19、sed in this part of ISO 3601: d1O-ring inside diameter; d2O-ring cross-section diameter. DIN ISO 3601-1:2013-11 5 5 Configuration The shape of the O-ring shall be toroidal, as shown in Figure 1. 20、tolerances 6.1 The combinations of inside diameters and cross-section diameters shall be chosen depending on the application: from Tables 1 through 6 for general industrial applications; from Tables 7 through 11 for aerospace applications. 6.2 For industrial applications, two classes of inside diame

21、ter tolerances, class A and class B, are specified. The tolerance of class B O-rings is based on Equation (A.1). Class A O-rings have tighter inside diameter tolerances than class B O-rings and are suitable for industrial or aerospace applications when the application or the housing require tighter

22、tolerances. Class B O-rings have dimensions and tolerances suitable for general-purpose applications. The inside diameter tolerances are based on Equation (A.1). For information, Figure 2 shows a graphical comparison of the inside-diameter tolerances for class A and class B O-rings. 6.3 Cross-sectio

23、n tolerances for non-standard (custom) O-rings for general industrial applications not listed in Tables 1 through 6 can be chosen from Table A.1. Tolerances for inside diameters for non-standard (custom) class A O-rings are listed in Table A.2. Equation (A.1) can be used to calculate inside diameter

24、 tolerances for non-standard (custom) class B O-rings. In marginal cases, the compliance with the limits of the shape deviations and surface imperfections should be considered besides the dimensional tolerances. See ISO 3601-3. 26、signated as follows: a) the word “O-ring” followed by a hyphen; b) “ISO3601-1” followed by a hyphen; c) the size code from the relevant table (see Tables 1 through 6) and “A” or “B” for the inside diameter tolerance class, followed by a hyphen; d) the nominal inside diameter and cross-section dimens

27、ions, separated by an “” and followed by a hyphen; DIN ISO 3601-1:2013-11 7 e) the grade letter (N, S or CS), in accordance with ISO 3601-3. 28、3601 shall be designated as follows: a) the word “O-ring” followed by a hyphen; b) “ISO3601-1” followed by the letter “A” (to designate an aerospace application), followed by a hyphen; c) the size code from the relevant table (see Tables 7 through 11), followed by a hyphen; d) the nominal inside dia

29、meter and cross-section dimensions, separated by an “” and followed by a hyphen; e) the grade letter (N, S or CS), in accordance with ISO 3601-3. 30、ary to inspect O-rings that conform to this part of ISO 3601 at the time of customer receipt, the inspection procedure shall be agreed upon by the supplier and purchaser at the time of order. Annex B provides possible methods for such a procedure for information. 9 Identification statement (referenc

31、e to this part of ISO 3601) Manufacturers are strongly recommended to use the following statement in test reports, catalogues and sales literature when electing to comply with this part of ISO 3601: “O-ring inside diameters, cross-sections, tolerances and designation code are in accordance with ISO
