SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID
2、) covers the requirements for a kit that replaces unserviceable chock picks that are issued in the Army Mountaineering Kit (AMKs) specifically the Assault Climber Team Kit (ACTK) (A-A-59873). 2. CLASSIFICATION. The Army Mountaineering Kit (AMK) Chock Pick Replacement Kit will be furnished as one kit
3、. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The Kit shall be composed of the following items in the following quantities as listed in Table I: TABLE I. List of items in Kit 3.1 Dimensions. Individual item dimensions shall be in accordance with drawings and specification requirements specified in the applicable CI
4、D document (see Table I) unless item is a manufacturers part number/cage code then, in which manufacturers current specifications apply. 3.2 Color. Individual item test standards shall be in accordance wit
7、h their related International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation Standards, where applicable. 3.4 Materials. Individual item materials shall be in accordance with applicable specifications. 3.5 Workmanship. The AMK Chock Pick Replacement Kit shall conform to the quality of product established by
8、 this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.6 Service life. The AMK Chock Pick Replacement Kit shall have no unexpected material or
9、component failures during a continuous one-year cycle. The AMK Chock Pick Replacement Kit shall have no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over a five (5) year period. 3.7 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requir
10、ements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (see 7.2). 3.7.1 Labels. Each AMK Chock Pick Replacement Kit shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the printing

The name or trademark of the manufacturer, importer or supplier b. The meaning of any marking on the product c. The use of the product

The effects of chemical reagents and temperature on the product h. The effects of storing and aging i. Identification of the model, if more than on
13、e model is available 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recyc
14、led, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assur
16、ance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 End item examination.
