SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This drawing outlines the requirements for a specific member of a family of compact

4、, high contact density (.050 inch (1.27 mm), high performance two-piece electrical connectors. These connectors are intended for printed circuit board (plug in dual heat sinked daughter board modules, and fixed backplanes) applications utilizing surface mount daughter board and compliant pin backpan

5、el termination techniques. This connector family includes members that provide combinations of low power signal contacts, power contacts, shielded contacts and optical termini. These connectors may be used in severe operating environments, and may include features such as protective hoods, contact s

6、ealing, interfacial seals, electrostatic shielding, and others. This connector family is organized and fabricated utilizing modular design, with connector module blocks which can be grouped to provide for combinations of low power signal contacts, fiber optic termini, power contacts, and shielded co

7、ntacts. Specific groupings of these module blocks constitute elements of the connector family. This specific drawing details a member of the connector family composed of groupings of (10) low power blade type contact module blocks, which, when combined, provide a total of 396 signal contacts. The co

8、ntact module blocks are enclosed (epoxy bonded) within a ground-plane forming aluminum frame, resulting in a single piece metal shrouded connector construction. This assembly mates with DSCC drawing 02007 backpanel connector. The connector features straddle type, surface mount terminations for print

9、ed circuit daughter card module installation, which will accommodate from .053 to .231 inch (1.35 to 5.87 mm) spacing between the daughter board contact termination planes. This family member does not include module blocks containing fiber optic, power, or shielded contact elements. Other members of

10、 this connector family, which include these contact types, are included in DSCC drawings 93002 to 93013. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN). The complete PIN shall be as specified on the item requirements drawing and constructed using the following format: 03023 B A 39600 E D N DSCC Insulator Term

Insulators shall be fabricated using one of the following plastic materials: A - Thermoplastic,

12、type GST-40F in accordance with MIL-M-24519, or ASTM-D-4067. B - Thermoplastic, type GLCP-30 F in accordance with MIL-M-24519, or ASTM-D-5138. C - Glass filled diallyl phthalate type SDG-F or GDI-30F in accordance with ASTM-D5948. 1.2.2 Termination style. Connectors shall be terminated using the fol

In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes

32、 applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 DSCC requirements. The individual item requirements shall meet the requirements of DSCC drawing 89065 for blade and fork type connectors except as specified herein. Any requirements included in this d

33、rawing shall be in addition to, or supersede those requirements included in DSCC drawing 89065. In case of conflict between the requirements detailed in this drawing and those details in DSCC drawing 89065, the requirements of this drawing shall take precedence. 3.2 Design configuration. The design,

34、 construction, and physical dimensions shall be as specified on figures 1, 2, 3, and 4 herein and DSCC drawing 89065. In case of conflict between this drawing and DSCC drawing 89065, this drawing shall govern. 3.2.1 Design documentation. The design documentation shall be in accordance with DSCC draw

35、ing 89065 and be retained by the manufacturer, but be available for review by the contracting activity, DSCC, or contractor upon request. 3.3 Electrical and environmental performance characteristics. The electrical and environmental characteristics shall be in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065 unle

36、ss otherwise specified in this drawing. 3.4 Module displacement force. The connector shall allow for cold-wall clamping of attached daughter card modules. The connector shall require no more than 75 pounds (34 Kg) to displace the connector frame .003 inches (0.08 mm) laterally for single-sided mount

37、ing ears (non-float mount) and .006 inches (0.15 mm) for double-sided mounting ears (float mount) in either direction when tested in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065. No degradation of performance shall be allowed after this test. 3.5 Marking. The connector shall be marked with the DSCC drawing PI

38、N, the manufacturers name or CAGE code, and the production date code in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065. The marking shall be permanent and legible in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065. PIN marking position and contact identification details shall be as indicated on figure 2. 3.6 Material requir

39、ements. The materials to be used in construction and fabrication shall be as specified in this drawing. Materials required, but not specified in this drawing shall be in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065. 3.6.1 Connector materials. 3.6.1.1 Connector shell material. The connector shell (frame) shall

40、 be fabricated from aluminum 6061-T6 in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-A-200/8 or ASTM B241. 3.6.1.1.1 Connector shell finish. The connector shell shall be nickel-plated overall in accordance with SAE-AMS-2404, 9 to 12 percent phosphorus 300 to 1000 microinches (7.62 to 24.5 m) thick. Provided by IHSNot

The connector insulator/terminal alignment guide blocks shall be fabricated from polyphen

42、eline sulfide, 40 percent glass reinforced, type GST-40F in accordance with MIL-M-24519, ASTM D4067 or liquid crystal polymer (LCP), glass reinforced, in accordance with MIL-M-24519, type GLCP-30F, or ASTM D5138 type LCP0120G30A43430 EA300ED035EE200EF140. 3.6.1.3 Blade contact material. Blade contac

43、ts shall be brass, half-hard minimum, in accordance with ASTM B36 alloy C26000. 3.6.1.3.1 Blade contact finish. The blade contact shall be a gold plated, over all areas, in accordance with ASTM B488, type II, grade C, class 1.27 (50 microinches) minimum, over 50 to 150 microinches (1.27 to 2.54 m) o

44、f nickel in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-N-290, class 1, electroplated over all areas. 3.6.1.4 Termination tail material. Termination tails shall be brass, half hard minimum in accordance with ASTM B36 alloy C26000. 3.6.1.4.1 Termination tail finish. The termination tails shall be underplated 50 micro

45、inches (1.27 m) minimum with nickel in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-N-290, class 1, with selective reflow tin/lead over plating. 3.6.2 Mating and Unmating force. Mating and unmating force requirements for connectors and shells are TBD. 3.7 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials.

46、Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Classification of inspect

47、ions. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. Qualification inspection (see 4.2). b. Conformance inspection (see 4.3). 4.1.1 Equipment calibration. All test equipment and inspection facilities used in the performance of any test shall be maintained in a calibration

48、 system in accordance with NCSL-Z540.1. 4.2 Qualification inspection. Qualification inspection for connectors specified herein shall not be required. 4.3 Conformance inspection. Shall be in accordance with DSCC drawing 89065. 4.4 Certification as an approved source of supply. In order to be listed a

49、s an approved source of supply for connectors, a manufacturer shall: a. Agree to make available to DSCC, upon request, all pertinent test data on the subject part indicating compliance to the tests outlined in DSCC drawing 89065. b. Provide to DSCC-VAI, or its designated agent, upon request, free of change and without obligation, current production samples in the quantities and of the types requested.
