4、 bushing launcher receptacle Continued. REQUIREMENTS: Dimensions and configurations: See figure 1. This cable bushing is used with MIL-DTL-83538/4. Part or Identifying Number (PIN) example: M83538/10-1. Material: Corrosion resistant, high performance resins, with or without filler materials, capable

5、 of withstanding 175C minimum. The resins must be defined by specifications listed in the DODISS or published by professional materials associations. Exceptions may be granted by the qualifying activity. QUALIFICATION: This cable bushing shall be in accordance with MIL-DTL-83538. The following detai

6、ls and exceptions shall apply: Group A: Visual and mechanical examination (100% inspection). Group B: Not applicable. Qualification and group C: Two test samples shall be required for stand alone qualification. However, if the manufacturer is in the process of qualifying MIL-DTL-83538/4 connectors,

7、then one test sample is required: Visual and mechanical examination Salt spray. Manufacturers that are qualifying this bushing as a stand alone accessory shall conduct salt spray in accordance with MIL-DTL-83538. Manufacturers that are in the process of qualifying MIL-DTL-83538/4 receptacles concurr

8、ently with MIL-DTL-83538/10 cable bushings are not required to perform this test, since it is part of the qualification process for MIL-DTL-83538/4. Separate testing is not required for group C, since the bushing is included in the testing process for MIL-DTL-83538/4. Post test examination. Provided
