This commercial item description co
2、vers one type of threaded closure cap for use with aircraft lubricants and hydraulic fluids. Salient characteristics. Shall be a closure cap for use in an oil analysis program for checking the condition of aircraft lubricants and hydraulic fluids. Material. Shall be fabricated from white urea materi
3、al (see Notes). Size. Construction. thread for closure on a glass bottle with a 24 millimeter GPI 400 finish (see Notes). shall have ribbed surfaces to facilitate gripping. ribbed surfaces shall cover at least (50) percent of the gripping surface. Durability. Shall be capable of withstanding a 14 da
4、y immersion in typical aircraft lubricants and hydraulic fluids without any evidence of deterioration that would cause softening, cracking or failure as a closure cap on a glass bottle holding aircraft lubricant or hydraulic fluid samples (see Notes) . 6、 use. Shall be suitable for use as a closure cap on a bottle used for transporting samples, and then as a specimen cup for evaluating a sample in an atomic emission spectrophotometer. As a specimen cup for use with an atomic emission spectrophotometer, shall be capable of withstanding heating of oil

8、rance Provisions. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use
9、 his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supp
10、lies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Records. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Governments request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of th
11、e contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection. Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and testing (determ
12、ination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. Inspection and tests. Inspection and tests shall be conducted in accordance with commercial practice to determine compliance with specification requirements.
