、ND USE OF MOULAGE SET, WAR WOUNDS, NSN 6910-00-540-6378 One set of 19 moulages appropriately labeled and compartmented. Eight sets of reservoir, pump, tubing assemblies for use with the bleeding moulages. One pump, tubing, sponge assembly for use with sucking wound of chest. Five packets of powdered
、, simulated blood, each packet sufficient to make one gallon. Assemblv and o
、peration. Dip all bloodline connectors in water before using. Fill plastic reservoir through the 1 inch filling port. Cap and squeeze reservoir until all air is exhausted through bloodline port. Insert bloodline and connect to pump port “RW. Connect pump port “MI1 to moulage. (If bulb is marked with
、 an arrow indicating direction of flow, “R“ is the tail and “M“ is the front end of the arrow.) 2. Squeeze bulb several times until blood fills bulb and bloodline to moulage. Gentle, intermittent squeezing of the bulb will simulate arterial bleeding. 3. The sucking wound chest moulage does not have
、a reservoir. It is connected directly to the single bulb which has been initially filled with sufficient blood to moisten the wound. The bulb is then operated in a position to pump a mixture of blood and air creating a sucking and frothing effect. Handlinq and cleaninq. 1. Where necessary, roll, DO
、NOT FOLD, for storing. 2. Wash with a mild soap and warm water; do not scrub or use detergents or abrasive cleaners. 3. Clean reservoirs, bloodlines, and moulage capillary lines IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING. CAUTION: DO NOT USE BOILING WATER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. NOTE: The contents of this set are desi
、gned to perform under ambient conditions of temperature ranging for 20F to 130, and relative humidity ranging up to 95 percent. (See other side for replacement items).
