20、neral requirements For B15 and B22 lampholders, barrel threads other than those shown in this standard may be used, providing they comply with Figure 8 of IEC 61184. For other lampholders, barrel threads other than those shown in this standard may be used where the lampholder is to be installed only

21、 by a luminaire or equipment manufacturer. In all other cases, barrel threads as specified in this standard are mandatory. 3.2 Dimensional requirements and gauges 1 General 1.1 Scope This international standard applies to lampholders designed with a barrel thread for shade holder rings designed to k

22、eep attachments to lampholders in place. It also covers barrel threads for shade holder rings. Attention is drawn to lampholder safety standards IEC 60238, IEC 60400, IEC 60838-1 and IEC 61184 which cover all aspects of lampholder safety and to the luminaire standard IEC 60598-1 which contains infor
