SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a high temperature flexible tube consisting of a silicone rubber impregnated glass fabric attached to a helical s
3、teel wire skeleton. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for tubing used as the hot air intake duct connecting the air cleaner and the hot air passages around the manifold. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers m
4、ust conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 CONSTRUCTION Shall consist of a helical wound steel wire covered with and bonded to a 42 warp x 32 fill silicone rubber impregnated glass fabric. 3.2 IMPREGNATED FABRIC Tests to be conducted on every lot

8、, cracks and torn places which are deleterious to the proper functioning of the part. There shall be good adhesion between the fabric layers and fabric to steel supports. 3.4.2 Bend Test No cracking, delamination, flattening or separation between the rubber and steel coil.
