、dily mixed form. It must be capable of application with paint equipment normally available in automobile dealerships. 3.1.1.2 Be rapid drying to permit color coating within 30 min air drying at 23 +/- 2 C. 3.1.1.3 Not cause any detrimental effects on the substrate(s) to which it is applied. The orig

、inal physical properties of the substrate must not be significantly altered. 3.1.1.4 Be reasonably safe to apply and must meet all federal, state and local regulations in the packaged form actually supplied. The primer must be formulated to minimize employee health hazards due to toxic or otherwise

、injurious ingredients. Any primer which, in the judgment of the Ford Motor Company Industrial Hygiene Unit, poses needless risk to the user, will not be approved to this specification. However, specific chemical and physical properties (along with production tolerance limits) for the primer actually being supplied to this specification are specified on the “Engineering Quality Control Supplement“. A separate supplement is issued b

、y the affected Product engineering Office to the appropriate Quality Control Office for each approved source primer that is actually being supplied to this specification. The supplement, together with this specification, is used by Quality Control for verification of product conformance to the prime

Spray primer according to vendor supplied directions, completely wetting the panel (film thickness approximately 0.1 mil)

、. Allow primer to flash dry for 1 to 5 min at 23 +/- 2 C. Color coat with approximately 1.5 mils M4J Series Interior Lacquer (ESR-M2P93-A) or equivalent. Air dry panels for 30 min minimum at 23 +/- 2 C. Age all panels for 72 h minimum at 23 +/- 2 C, 50 +/- 5% relative humidity before testing. ENGINE
