2、to determine the ash content of moulded materials used in various automotive parts. Apparatus Required Analytical Balance With an accuracy of 0.1 mg. Muffle Furnace Capable of maintaining a temperature of 650 +/- 10 C. Porcelain Crucible With cover. Desiccator Conditioning and Test Conditions All te
3、st values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Fire a crucible and cover in the muffle furnace
4、 of 650 +/- 10 C for 30 minutes, cool in a desiccator and weigh to the nearest 0.1 mg. 2. Weigh a moulded part to the nearest 0.1 mg (maximum 3 g) and transfer to the crucible using tweezers. If the part is heavier than 3 g, cut off representative pieces to approx 3 g. 3. Place covered crucible in c
