APPLICATIONThis specification was released originally for material used for rearspoiler shells.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality S

3、ystemStandard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.1.1 All requirements of this specification,

4、identified bysymbol (s), shall be met with data representing 3 sigma values.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY, PYROLYTIC GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY AND/ORTHERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared, pyrolyticgas chromatography and/or thermal analysis of material/parts suppliedto thi

5、s specification. The IR, PGC spectra and thermogramsestablished for initial approval shall constitute the referencestandard and shall be kept on file at the designated materiallaboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermogramsthat correspond to the reference standard when tested under

7、 and tested under thesame conditions unless otherwise specified.3.4 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN3.4.1 Preparation of Test SpecimensAll test specimens shall be prepared from cross-ply moldedplaques or equivalent. The plaques are to be manufacturedfrom the same material and under equivalent conditions asprodu

The plaques shall have the followingdimensions:300 x 300 mm, minimum x 2.5 +/- 0.2 mmPrepared specimens must show no evidence of fiber tear orloose fiber strands protruding from the specimens. 20、oxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford,

Suppliers desiring approval oftheir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed co

23、py of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstratingfull compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation and code number, andtest specimens for Ford evaluatio

24、n. Fords engineering approval of amaterial will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications.
