Appropriatestatistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.1.1 All requirements of this specification,
4、identified bysymbol (s), shall be met with data representing 3 sigma values.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY, PYROLYTIC GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY AND/ORTHERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared, pyrolyticgas chromatography and/or thermal analysis of material/parts suppliedto thi
5、s specification. The IR, PGC spectra and thermogramsestablished for initial approval shall constitute the referencestandard and shall be kept on file at the designated materiallaboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermogramsthat correspond to the reference standard when tested under

23、py of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstratingfull compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation and code number, andtest specimens for Ford evaluatio
24、n. Fords engineering approval of amaterial will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications.
