2、39-A NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a thermally stable, SAE 90, API GL 6 type axle lubricant using a mineral oil base fluid compounded with extreme pressure, anti-corrosion, anti-oxidant, and mechanical limited slip differential additives. 2. APP
3、LICATION This specification was released originally for material used to provide lubrication for highly loaded rear axles in commercial vehicles. The material has specific frictional characteristics for mechanical limited slip differentials and a very high level of anti-wear performance. The materia
4、l is not suitable for synchromesh transmissions due to the high reactivity of the anti-wear additive. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements for Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A).
