SCOPE The material define

2、d by this specification is an Isopropanol Alcohol based solution containing surfactants and other additives for improved cleaning efficiency and freeze point depression. See requirements in Table 1 for freeze point temperature by region. 2. APPLICATION The diluted material is intended for locations

3、that lack equipment to dilute the concentrate, have poor water quality, or chose to avoid mixing altogether. The dilution ratio is established to meet the freeze point requirement for the market where the vehicle is sold. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of ap

4、proved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDIT

5、IONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 STANDARD REQ

6、UIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS 3.3.1 In addition to the control plan, the supplier and affected Material Engineering activity shall establish mutually agreed upon frequency of testing for the ongoing product verification plan and include in Supplement A. 3.4 APPROVAL INFORMATION This specificati

7、on was released to allow this material to be purchased by Ford Purchasing for use in a Ford facility. The specification number is also the part number in WERS. Post production uses a different format for WERS The freezing point of pre-diluted initial fill must be clearly marked on all deliveries. 3.

8、5 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Materials being evaluated for initial approval must meet WSS-M14P19-A or latest revisions. Since multiple suppliers will be approved to this specification, refer to the Ford Approved Source List or suppliers MSDS or certificate of analysis. Typical specific gravit

13、ies, LLC Page 3 of 4 4.1.5 Surface Tension at 25 C, 31.4 mN/m (DIN EN 14370) 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a co

14、mpleted copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of

15、one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.3 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon whi

16、ch approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials

17、Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Veri

18、fication (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Res

19、tricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 5.
