8、nation of Tensile Stress-Strain Properties1 ScopeThe object of this test method is to determine the resistance of elastomers to ageing, by the measurement ofproperties of the elastomer before and after accelerated ageing. Whilst the use of an accelerated ageing testallows certain conclusions to be m

9、ade, it should be noted that it will not necessarily agree with the results ofnatural ageing. In order to estimate the resistance to ageing of elastomers, one or more of the followingproperties shall be determined before and after the ageing test, and compared.1.1 Hardness to GME 60252 or GME 60256

10、(preferred).1.2 Tensile strength, and/or elongation at break, to GME 60257.1.3 Such other properties as may be specified on the relevant engineering drawing or material specification.The resistance to ozone and light ageing are not included in this test method.2 DefinitionThe ageing resistance of an

11、 elastomer is defined as the change in a specified property, at (+23 5) C, fol-lowing ageing at a specified temperature in air at atmospheric pressure for a specified period, compared tothe original value of that property.3 Number and Size of Test PiecesThe number and size of test pieces shall be as

15、Bedingungen die durch Alterung der Elastomere in der Praxishervorgerufenen Eigenschaftsnderungen beschleunigt herbeizufhren. Der Vergleich der vor und nach derknstlichen Alterung gemessenen Eigenschaftswerte gestattet eine Abschtzung der Alterungsbestndig-keit. Die durch knstliche Alterung verursach

16、ten Eigenschaftsnderungen lassen zwar auf das Verhalten vonElastomeren Rckschlsse im Einsatz zu, sie knnen jedoch mit den Eigenschaftsnderungen, die durchnatrliche Alterung hervorgerufen werden, nicht in direkte Beziehung gesetzt werden. Zur Beurteilung derAlterungsbestndigkeit werden entsprechend d

17、en Forderungen folgende Eigenschaften vor und nach derWrmelagerung miteinander verglichen:1.1 Hrte nach GME 60252 oder GME 60256 (vorzugsweise).1.2 Zugfestigkeit und/oder Reidehnung nach GME 602571.3 Eigenschaften nach besonderen Angaben in Zeichnungen und Werkstoffvorschriften.Durch die in dieser V

18、orschrift beschriebenen Prfverfahren wird die Alterung von Elastomeren durch Lichtund Ozon nicht erfat.2 BegriffUnter der Alterungsbestndigkeit versteht man die nderung der bei (+23 5) C ermittelten Eigenschafts-werte von Elastomeren nach Lagerung bei erhhten Temperaturen in Luft bei Atmosphrendruck

19、 bezogenauf die Werte ungealterter Elastomere.3 Probekrper und ProbenanzahlDie Probekrper sind in Anzahl und Form in den jeweiligen Prfverfahren der zu prfenden Eigenschaftenvorgeschrieben:3.1 Hrteprfung entsprechend GME 60252 Pos.: 4 oder GME 60256 Pos.: 3.3.2 Zur Bestimmung der Reidehnung und der

21、n theengineering drawing or material specification.3.4 Test piece dimensions shall, where necessary, be determined before ageing. Markings, such as thosefor gauge lengths, shall be made after the ageing test. Any marking material used for test piece identifi-cation shall have no injurious effect on

22、the elastomer and in any case shall not be in the area of test.4 Conditioning of Test PiecesFor initial sample approval and arbitration purposes, the minimum time between vulcanization and testing ofelastomers shall be 7 days. For routine quality control test, the period shall be 72 h minimum. The t

23、est piecesshall be maintained at a temperature of (+23 5) C for at least 8 h, immediately prior to test, and shall befree from strain during this period.5 Apparatus5.1 OvenThe oven shall be of a type which recirculates the air within it, with replacement by fresh air also occurring. Itshall be capab

24、le of maintaining the specified test temperature to within the tolerance defined in clause 6.1.Provision shall be made for a slow circulation of air through the oven of at least 3 but not more than10 changes each hour. The incoming air shall be preheated to oven temperature before passing near thete

25、st pieces. The oven temperature shall be measured from amongst the test pieces. No copper or copperalloys shall be used in the construction of the oven chamber in such a manner that test pieces could contactthem, because of possible catalytic effects with some elastomers. The oven shall conform to D

26、IN 50 011,sheet 1, clause 2.4 or BS 2648.5.2 Apparatus for determination of hardness shall conform to GME 60252, clause 6 or GME 60256, clause5 (preferred).5.3 Apparatus for determination of tensile strength and elongation at break shall conform to GME 60257,clause 4.5.4 Apparatus for determination

Markierungen, z.B. zur Be-stimmung der Reidehnung, sind jedoch nach der Lagerung anzubringen und auszumes

29、sen, da durchdiese die Alterungseffekte beeinflusst werden knnen.4 ProbevorbehandlungBei Erstbemusterungen und in Schiedsfllen ist die Prfung nicht frher als 7 Tage, fr die laufende Quali-ttsberwachung nicht frher als 72 h nach der Vulkanisation durchzufhren. Vor der Prfung mssen dieProbekrper min 8

30、 h im unbeanspruchten Zustand bei (+23 5) C gelagert werden.5 Prfgerte5.1 WrmeschrankFr die knstliche Alterung in Luft bei Atmosphrendruck wird ein Wrmeschrank mit Luftumwlzung undFrischluftzusatz verwendet. Die in Pos. 6.1 angegebenen Temperaturen einschlielich der Toleranzen sindeinzuhalten. Die a

31、uf die Prftemperatur vorgewrmte Luft soll den Wrmeschrank so durchstrmen, da siewenigstens 3 mal, hchstens 10 mal in der Stunde erneuert wird. Die Temperatur soll in unmittelbarer Nheder Probekrper gemessen werden. Wegen der Gefahr ihrer katalytischen Wirkung auf den Alterungspro-zess drfen fr Teile

32、 der Alterungskammern, die mit den Probekrpern in Berhrung kommen, weder Kupfernoch Kupferlegierungen verwendet werden. Der Wrmeschrank muss DIN 50 011, Blatt 1, Abschnitt 2.4oder BS 2648 entsprechen.5.2 Prfgerte zur Hrteprfung nach Shore A entsprechend GME 60252 Pos. 6 oder GME 60256 Pos. 5.5.3 Prf

43、 suspending the test pieces so that they are at least 10 mm from each other,and 50 mm from the oven surfaces. They should be stationary, not exposed to light, exposed to air onall sides, and free from strain. The oven chamber shall be of a size such that the total volume of thetest pieces does not e

44、xceed 10 % of the air space of the oven. The ageing of different types of elasto-mers having volatile ingredients in the same oven shall be avoided.7.3 Following the accelerated ageing period, the test pieces shall be removed from the oven and condi-tioned for at least 8 h in a strain free state at

45、(+23 5) C before the relevant properties are redeter-mined.7.4 The relevant properties shall be determined as specified in clauses 7.1.1 to 7.1.3.8 Calculation of Results8.1 Change of hardnessThe hardness values will be compared before and after the ageing, and the change of hardness reported inshor

46、e degrees or IRHD.8.2 Change of tensile strength and/or elongation at break.The difference between the values of the relevant property before and after ageing will be determined, andreported as a ratio based on the original value, expressed as a percentage.Relative age resistance = ? 100 in %where:
