Measure the resistance between the ground and the static charge measurement points. Measurement Points: Assembly areas betw
3、een parts, sharp edge areas, corrosion prevention areas, non-conductive material areas, etc. Fill Aircraft Oil into Fuel Tank and activate Fuel Pump. Use Conductivity Meter to measure conductivity of aircraft oil using unit of Picosiemens/Meter. Measure and record Fuel Flow Pressure. The distance be
4、tween Static Charge Meter and target measurement point shall be 5Cm. Measure plus voltage at each measurement point. At the point of the highest plus voltage, measure its variation over time and record. In general, measurements should be at about 10 minute intervals. However, interval can be varied
5、considering plus voltage variation time. Measurement Procedure Move vehicle to Cold Chamber
6、 and replace Fuel Tank with an empty tank. Lift test vehicle with a lift jack by about 30Cm from floor and install a support platform underneath to facilitate test measurement. Here, make sure that the support platform is stably fixed when vehicle is moved a little. Pour in Aircraft oil for testing
7、into Fuel Tank, use power supply to admit test voltage directly to Fuel Pump power line so that other electrical devices are not powered. Eliminate fuel line at Injector end to prevent Aircraft Oil from going into Injector. Use a connection pipe to enable fuel feedback. Allow 24 hour soaking of test
8、 vehicle with Fuel Pump only in operation in the Cold Chamber. Measure Insulation Resistance of non-conductive parts to vehicle body prior to vehicle soaking. Measure and record resistance values of conductive parts. The distance between Static Charge Meter and target measurement points shall be 5Cm
9、. At each measurement point, measure plus voltage. At the point of the most plus voltage measured, record plus voltage variation against time. In general, measurements should be taken at 10 minute interval. However, the interval can be varied in consideration of plus voltage variation time. Upon com
10、pletion of test, replace all parts including Fuel Tank and Fuel Lines of Aircraft Oil flow. 6.3. Fuel Filter Test 6.3.1. Test Preparation Apply 150 psi water pressure on all test samples to check for leakage. Use only samples with no leak for testing. Install test sample as in Figure 3. Figure 3. Fu

Test procedure Measure Conductivity
12、 and Temperature of Aircraft Oil and turn on Fuel Pump. Adjust fuel flow within Fuel Line to be 0.50 gpm 0.02 gpm. Observe Fuel Filter operation for 15 minutes and indicate position of any static discharge. Measure static charge at the point of discharge for 6 hours. Upon completion of testing, ther
13、e shall not be any leakage at water pressure of 150 psi. 7. EVALUATION 7.1. 14、en plastic fuel line and grounded vehicle parts. 7.2. Vehicle Grounding All parts/components related to a Fuel System should be made of conductive material as much as possible. When non-conductive material parts are applied, they must be grounded to the vehicle body to prevent static charge generati
15、on. If such requirements have not been satisfied, the above system and vehicle test should be performed. If all fuel system parts are made of conductive materials or have been properly grounded to vehicle body, then measure resistance between all parts and vehicle body. If measured resistance values
16、 are 10 Ohm or less, perform System Test at room temperature (202 ) and Relative Humidity 20% 40 % condition and record static charges generated, 8. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY The tests defined in this standard involve risks of fire or explosion.
