6、Summary This Recommendation is one of a series of Recommendations of the Telecommunications Management Network (TMN), providing specifications of TMN management functions and TMN management function sets. The content is developed in support of Task Information Base B (Roles, resources and functions)

7、, associated with Task 2 (Describe TMN management context) in the TMN interface specification methodology specified in ITU-T M.3020. When performing the analysis of TMN management context, it is desirable to consider maximal use of the TMN management function sets available in this Recommendation. S

8、ource ITU-T Recommendation M.3400 was revised by ITU-T Study Group 4 (1997-2000) and approved under the WTSC Resolution 1 procedure on 4 February 2000. FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanen

10、t organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establish

11、es the topics for study by the 1TU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standar

12、ds are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency.
