Painted parts shall meet all requirements for the specified Type as described herein, includin

12、g both heat and corrosion requirements. 4.1.1 Type 1 For painted parts subjected to a maximum operating temperature of 1000 F (538C). Examples include select hanger brackets, exhaust castings, non-exhaust gas carrying stanchions, etc. These parts require good corrosion resistance combined with a hig

Examples include fabricated exhaust stanchion assemblies and other parts which carry hot exhaust gas directly through them. These parts require good corrosion resistance combined

14、with an exceptional level of heat resistance. 4.2 Pre-paint Preparation All surfaces to be painted, including weld metal and surrounding heat-affected zones (HAZ), shall be free of dirt, oil, grease, rust or other contaminants which may inhibit proper adherence of the high temperature paint. Wheneve

15、r possible, surfaces to be painted should exhibit “water-break free” characteristics, indicating a clean surface free of oil and other contaminates. An effective post-weld cleaning procedure is to be utilized and should include either an abrasive (e.g., bead blasting or needle descaler) or chemical
