25、r is required to submit test reports for all other fusible material requirements. The nylon bunting cloth and the fused basic cloth shall be tested for the characteristics specified in 3.3.2 and Table I in accordance with the test methods referenced in Table IV. The requirements in Table I apply to
26、the average results of the specimens tested. All test reports shall contain the individual values used to express the final results. The sample unit for testing the fused material shall be 3 yards, full width. Two sample units shall be taken from each end item lot, regardless of the lot size. If any

(4) Position the fusible in another clamp 1 inch or more in width and approximately 1.0 ounce in weight and pull the fusible downwards in a vertical direction with a steady continuous motion (motion to be exerted by hand) until com

Failure of any individual strip shall indicate failure of the check sample. NOTE: Care shall be taken not to jerk the fabric during the testing. 4.4.2 In-process inspection.
39、 Check tests shall be performed on fused fabric prior to manufacture of the caps in accordance with 4.4.2.1 through 4.4.2.3. It is required that tests be performed and results recorded every 4 hours or after fusing sufficient material to manufacture 1000 caps, whichever occurs first. When the option
40、 to cut basic material and fusing material separately and then use them together is utilized, tests shall be performed and results recorded every 4 hours or every 1000 caps, whichever occurs first. 4.4.2.1 Appearance of fused sample. All fabric fused at one time on the press(es) shall be examined vi

A sample fails when the lowest result for any of the specimens is less than the minimum required (see 4.4
42、.2.3). 4.4.2.3 Failure of check samples. If a check sample fails because of inappropriate temperature, pressure or dwell time of the press, or operator error, the sample shall be re-fused and re-tested after correction of the fault. If the check sample fails a second time, all fusing performed on th
