The inspe

11、ction requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. 12、 4,a Inaprction conditiona. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.21, all inspections shall be performed as specified in the applicable test method of 4.6. 4.4 Firet article inspection. First article inspection shall be performed after award of contract and prior to production by a facility designated i

13、n the contract or order (see 6.2). A first article sample acceptable for environmental and function testing shall be considered as a sample which meets the requirements of 3.2 through 3.7.1 and 3.10 of this specification. First article inspection shall be performed on sample units which have been pr

14、oduced using the same materials, equipment, processes and procedures as will be used in regular production. All parts and materials, including packaging and packing shall be the same as used for regular production and shall be from the intended soupces of supply. 4,4,1 Samplr aisr, The first article

15、 sample ghall consist of 125 cartridges. 4.4.2 Inspection routinr. One hundred and fifteen cartridges shall be divided into three groups and expended in the tests listed in table II and ten shall be inspected and retained for investigative purposes. Failure of any cartridge to meet the specified req

16、uirements of 3.9 shall be cause for rejection of the first article sample. Firing shall be conducted in the test fixture specified in 4.6.6. TABLE II. The test shall be conducted on cartridges packed in accordance with 5.1.1. 4.6.5

The number of cartridges randomly selected from each production lot for the ballistic test shall be in accordance wit

27、h table IV. The samples shall be randomly divided into three equal groups with group one conditioned at -65 2 5OF, group 2 conditioned at 200 conditioned at 70 2 5OF for not less than 6 hours nor more than 24 hours. If the lot sample is not divisible by three, the additional cartridges shall be plac

28、ed in the second group. Cartridges shall be removed from the conditioning chamber and fired within 5 minutes in test fixture, Drawing 6261402. If any cartridge is exposed or not fired within 5 minutes after removal, it shall be returned to 70 2 10F environment for at least 4 hours and then reexposed

29、 to the original environment for not less than 6 and not more than 24 hours before test firing. 5OF and group 3 4.6.6.1 Criteria of acceptability. The failure of any cartridge to meet the requirements of 3.9.1 through 3.9.3 shall be cause for rejection of the lot represented. 4.0.6.2 Misfire. The fa

30、ilure of any cartridge to fire shall be cause for rejection of the lot represented, unless such failure is plainly attributable to faulty test equipment or procedure (see 4.7.1). 4.7 Retest. There shall be no retests. 4.7.1 Test failUFO. If test failure is attributable to an assignable cause, exclud

31、ing the test cartridge, original test results should be discarded and that portion of the test reconducted. 5. PACKAIN 5.1 Preservation and packaging. Preservation and packaging shall be level A (see 6.4). 5.1.1 Level A. Level A packaging of all production lots for service use for each type cartridg

32、e is described below. hK152 Twentyill01 cartridges shall be packaged in a box conforming to PPP-B-676, Type 1, Variety 1, Class C, Style 4, with separator for individual cartridges. The separator shall consist of a corrugated fiberboard conforming to PPP-F-320, Type CF, Class Domestic, Variety SW, G

33、rade 275, B Flute. Inside dimensions (in inches) of the box shall be approximately 2 11/16 in length X 2 3/16 in width X 1 3/16 in depth. packaged item. A tight pack is mandatory. The separator shall consist of a corrugated

36、 fiberboard conforming to PPP-F-320, Type CF, Class Domestic, Variety SW, Grade 275, B Flute. Inside dimensions (in inches) of the box shall be approximately 2 3/4 in length X 2 3/4 in width X 1 5/16 in depth. Adequate support and cushioning shall be provided for the packaged item. A tight pack is m

37、andatory, The box shall be wrapped with 40 pound Kraft paper conforming to UU-P-268 Grade B, The wrapping paper shall be secured with tape conforming with PPP-T-45. Each box shall be sealed in a heat sealable bag conforming to MIL-B-131, class 1. Air shall be evacuated from bag prior to sealing. 5.2

38、 Packing. Packing shall be level A or C as specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A. Level A packing shall be used for packing of all production lots for service use. Twenty (20) inner containers as described in 5.1.1 shall be packed in a box in accordance with PPP-B-621,

39、 Class 2, Style 2. Adequate support and cushioning shall be provided for the inner containers to maintain a tight pack, A tight pack is mandatory. 5.2.2 Level C. When directed by the contracting activity (see 6.21, cartridges intended for expenditure in first article testing and for production lot a

40、cceptance tests and are packaged in accordance with 5.1.1 shall be packed to afford protection against damage during direct shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. Shipping containers shall be in accordance with 49 CFR 171-178. 5.3 Marking. 5.3.1 Special ma
