O pound structural steel channel, shall be coped and welded to the base of the “U“ frame and welded to the rear and intermediate cross braces, with its centerline coinciding with the longitudinal centerline of the platform frame. 8、18 inch, commercial grade, hot rolled flat fork spacer shall be centered in the center of the rear opening of the frame and welded to the rear cross brace and to the deck support. 3. 2. 3 Platform. -The platform deck shall be 1/4 inch nominal thickness, commercial grade, ribbed or diamond tread safe

9、ty plate, 48 by 48 1/8 inches for type I and 48 by 69 1/8 inches for type II. shall be cut to conform to the contour of the frame, and cut and drilled to accommodate rear uprights and posts, Decking shall be set in from the outside of the frame 114 inch from the front and 3/4 inch from the rear. The

10、 deck shall be skip welded to the outer edge of the frame, top flange of the deck support, and fork spacer by 1/4 inch fillet welds, 3 inches long on 6 inch centers. Pads, of 1/4 by 1 112 inch, commercial grade, hot rolled steel flat, shall be cut to conform to the corner angles of the “U“ frame and
