1、 Tentative Interim Amendment NFPA 5000Building Construction and Safety Code2015 Edition Reference: 33.3.4 TIA 15-8 (SC 16-8-23 / TIA Log #1218) Pursuant to Section 5 of the NFPA Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA Standards, the National Fire Protection Association has issued the following
2、 Tentative Interim Amendment to NFPA 5000, Building Construction and Safety Code, 2015 edition. The TIA was processed by the Technical Committee on Fundamentals and the Correlating Committee on Building Code, and was issued by the Standards Council on August 4, 2016, with an effective date of August
3、 24, 2016. A Tentative Interim Amendment is tentative because it has not been processed through the entire standards-making procedures. It is interim because it is effective only between editions of the standard. A TIA automatically becomes a public input of the proponent for the next edition of the
4、 standard; as such, it then is subject to all of the procedures of the standards-making process. 1. Revise Subsection 33.3.4 to read as follows: 33.3.4 Emergency and Standby Power. 33.3.4.1 Emergency lighting in accordance with Section 11.9 shall be provided. 33.3.4.2 Emergency power requirements fo
5、r electric fire pumps shall be in accordance with NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection. 33.3.4.3 Emergency power for detection, alarm, and communications systems shall be in accordance with NFPA 72. 33.3.4.4 Requirements for standby power shall be as specifi
6、ed in 33.3.4.4.1 through 33.3.4.4.4. 33.3.4.4.1 Type 60, Class 1, Level 1, standby power in accordance with NFPA 110, Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems, shall be provided. 33.3.4.4.2 The standby power system shall have a capacity and rating sufficient to supply all required equipment.
7、 33.3.4.4.3 Selective load pickup and load shedding shall be permitted in accordance with Chapter 52. 33.3.4.4.4 The standby power system shall be connected to the following: (1) Jockey pump (2) Air compressor serving dry-pipe and pre-action systems (3) Emergency command center equipment and lightin
