2、nterim Amendment to NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, 2017 edition. The TIA was processed by the National Electrical Code Panel 2 and the NEC Correlating Committee, and was issued by the Standards Council on July 18, 2017, with an effective date of August 7, 2017. A Tentative Interim Amendment is t
3、entative because it has not been processed through the entire standards-making procedures. It is interim because it is effective only between editions of the standard. A TIA automatically becomes a public input of the proponent for the next edition of the standard; as such, it then is subject to all
4、 of the procedures of the standards-making process. 1. Revise 220.12, Exception No. 2 to read as follows: Exception No. 2: Where a building is designed and constructed to comply with an energy code adopted by the local authority and specifying an overall lighting density of less than 13.5 volt-amper
5、es/13.5 m2(1.2 volt-amperes/1.2 ft2), the unit lighting loads in Table 220.12 for office and bank areas within the building shall be permitted to be reduced by 11 volt-amperes/11 m2(1 volt-amperes/1 ft2).
