It provides the key to vehicle configuration control, proper definition and authorization of the work to be performed, the assurance of adequate work having been performed after closeouts,

Inadequacies were uncovered in the form of a lack of timely closures recorded on completed work items; poor annotation of the steps taken in performing authorized deviations; missing signatures and quality control stamps (an average of 1/4 o
