2、t, there is a requirement and it is standard practice to perform both safety and verification testing. A similar requirement to provide functional performance testing does not exist. Functional performance testing is left to the discretion of project management or to the payload element developer. A

3、mes Research Center has found that the performance of full functional performance testing helps to characterize hardware parameters, identify weak design and circumvent potential in-flight anomalies.Lesson(s) Learned: It is essential to perform functional verification testing of space flight hardwar

Tests to characterize that the system will have acceptable performance under worst-case conditions. This can be a combination of conditions such as: highest te

Tests to verify end-to-end compatibility that would include: physical and electrical interfaces; data signal compatibility; operational access; and crew interaction.4. Tests to verify compatib

With limited microgravity periods, these tests cannot fully verify functional performance in a sustained microgravity environment, however, they can be used to demonstrate validity of concept and crew interface compatibility.Provided by IH
