2、 for Sustainability Abstract: In support of foam redesign options, ET project was required to repeat wind tunnel testing for revised environments. Because data on the original test configuration was sketchy, due in part to the lack of digital storage technology at the time of the original test, this

3、 was a difficult and costly process.Description of Driving Event: In performing recent foam redesigns, External Tank (ET) identified a need for additional wind tunnel testing to anchor Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) models for new environments and boundary conditions. The process of duplicating t

4、he original test conditions was difficult and expensive, since the original test articles were limited and the information about the original test article configuration and test set-up was difficult to recover.Lesson(s) Learned: Environments testing should be designed to address the full range of ex
