2、ount for and document necessary changes in installation of temporary payload integration hardware during ground processing of the Space Shuttle. This separate specification allows variation in the installation of such hardware in order to respond to change requests from payload customers in real tim

3、e. The flexibility offered by this specification reduces delays in installations of payloads and instances of Problem Reports (PRs) and Engineering Orders to Follow (EOTFs). Description of Driving Event: Problems with the installation of payload harnesses delayed payload installation and verificatio

4、n testing. To minimize this occurrence, a team was assigned to identify the applicable temporary payload integration hardware and the variations in installation that might be needed. Boeing Specification ML0303-0073 was developed to address this temporary, mission-dependent hardware and to prevent c

5、onfusion with permanently installed orbiter hardware. Now, the allowable changes to hardware installation require engineering concurrence, photographs, and documentation in an installation procedure, not the time-consuming process of making and approving engineering changes to drawings.
