1、 AMS 2451/2A AEROSPACE MATERIAL SPECIFICATION Plating, Brush, Nickel Low Stress, Hard Deposit RATIONALE This specification revision was issued as part of the SAE Five Year Review process. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Purpose This specification covers the requirements and process controls for brush plating of hard,
2、low stress nickel by electrodeposition. 1.2 Application This process has been used typically to improve wear resistance and to repair damaged, worn, or mismachined parts in applications requiring hardness, fatigue resistance, and service at temperatures up to 450 F (232 C) but usage is not limited t

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS See AMS 2451. 3.1 Procedure 3.1.1 Nickel shall be electrodeposited from a sulfamate nickel brush plating solution containing addition agents to produce the specified ha
4、rdness in accordance with instructions from the solution manufacturer. 3.2 Properties 3.2.1 Adhesion to Specimens The requirements of AMS 2451 shall apply.
