5、 Anti-Seize Thread Compound, High Temperature - PTFE Only RATIONALE This document has been revised to distinguish this foundation specification (AMS3050) and the associated category specifications (AMS3050/1 through AMS3050/9) and to classify different anti-seize greases conforming to this specifica

6、tion by the type of anti-seize additive. The category specifications have been added to the Applicable Documents section. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form The foundation specification (AMS3050) and this category specification (AMS3050/5) cover anti-seize greases conforming to the requirements but using the anti-se

7、ize ingredient PTFE only. For use only below 600 F / 315 C. 1.1.1 Foundation and Category Specifications The foundation specification establishes the main requirements for all anti-seize greases conforming to the foundation specification. The category specification AMS3050/5 covers anti-seize grease

8、s conforming to AMS3050 and using a PTFE anti-seize additive. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may work to a subsequent revision of a document unles

9、s a specific document issue is specified. TECHNICAL REQUIREM

11、ENTS See Section 3 of AMS3050. Only PTFE based anti-seize additives shall be used. The technical requirements for AMS3050/5 Performance Specification Anti-Seize Thread Compound, High Temperature PTFE Only, are detailed in Section 3 of the foundation specification, AMS3050. The use of PTFE limits the

12、 temperature use of this grease to below 600 F / 315 C. 4. VERIFICATION See Section 4 of AMS3050. The Verification Process for AMS3050/5 Performance Specification Anti-Seize Thread Compound, High Temperature PTFE Only, is set in the foundation specification, AMS3050. 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
