1、 AEROSPACE MATERIAL SPECIFICATION Aluminum Alloy, Alclad Sheet 3.8Cu - 1.0Mg - 0.30Mn - 0.60Zn (Alclad 2056-T3) Solution Heat Treated and Cold Worked AMS 4298Issued 1. SCOPE: 1.1 Form: This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of sheet clad on both sides. 1.2 Application: These product

2、s have been used typically for formed structural aircraft parts requiring improved resistance to fatigue crack growth and high toughness with strength similar to Alclad 2024-T3, but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.2.1 Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to

3、become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS: The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may work

4、 to a subsequent revision of a document unless a specific document is specified. When the referenced document has been canceled and no superseding document has been specified, the last published issue of that document shall apply. 2004-07Reaffirmed 2010-05SAE Technical Standards Board Rules provide
