5、eding AMS4377H Magnesium Alloy, Sheet and Plate 3.0Al - 1.0Zn 0.20Mn (AZ31B-H24) Cold Rolled, Partially Annealed (Composition similar to UNSM11311) RATIONALE AMS4377J revises composition (Table 1) and results from a Five Year Review and update of this specification. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specificat

6、ion covers a magnesium alloy in the form of sheet and plate. 1.2 Application This product has been used typically for parts requiring a combination of moderate strength and rigidity with low density, but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.2.1 Special care is necessary to prevent corrosion.

20、 90Over 25.40 to 50.80, incl 69Over 50.80 to 76.20, incl 62 3.4 Quality The product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.5 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable

21、requirements of ANSI H.35.2 or ANSI H.35.2M. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perfor

22、m any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties (3.3.1), and tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Te

23、sts Compressive properties (3.3.2) are periodic tests and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipme

24、nt a report stating that the product conforms to the composition and tolerances, showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements, and stating that the product conforms to the other specified requirements. This report sh

25、all include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4377J, size, and quantity. The report shall also identify the producer, the mill product form, and the mill produced size. SAE AMS4377J Page 5 of 5 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DE

26、LIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M. 5.2 Protective Treatment The product shall be oiled, prior to shipment, with a light corrosion-inhibiting oil. 5.3 Packaging The product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applic

27、able rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7.

28、REJECTIONS Product not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 8.
