SCOPE1.1 FormThis specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of extruded profiles with a maximum cross-sectional area of 25 in2(160.29 cm2) and nominal thicknesses from 0.250 to 2.500 inch, inclusive (6.3 to 63.50 mm, inclusive).1.2 Applica
3、tionThese extrusions have been used typically for machined parts requiring dimensional stability during machining processes, high strength and damage tolerance, but usage is not limited to such applications.1.2.1 Certain processing procedures may cause this product to become susceptible to stress-co

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of the products shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deem
25、ed necessary to ensure that the products conform to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of Tests4.2.1 Acceptance TestsComposition (3.1), longitudinal and long transverse (when specified) tensile properties (3.4.1), ultrasonic inspection when specified (3.5.1), and tolerances (3.6) are acceptan
26、ce tests and, except for composition, shall be performed on each inspection lot.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with AMS2355.4.4 ReportsThe vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the composition, ultrasonic inspection when
27、specified, and tolerances and showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4479, size or section identification number, and quantity. Th
28、is report shall also identify the producer, the product form, and the size of the mill product.4.4.1 When the product size is outside the range covered by 3.4.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS2355.5. 29、IVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M.5.2 PackagingProducts shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier a
