This document outlines the minimum training requirements for all personnel working as aerospace fiber optics fabricators in accordance with aerospace industry best practices. 1. SCOPE Thi

26、s fabricator re-certification training. This training is broken into 18 sections. Each section contains detailed hands-on training competencies. To successfully complete this training each student must demonstrate each competency in the presence of the instructor. 1. Demonstrate fiber optic connecto
27、r endface cleaning methods with approved materials as described in AIR6031. 2. Using an optical (minimum 200X) microscope the student shall view the endface of a multimode connector and successfully identify a crack in the core. 3. Using optical (minimum 200X) and video (minimum 100X) microscopes th
28、e student shall view the endfaces of several polished multimode connectors and successfully evaluate the endface per AS5675 Section 2. 4. Using an optical (maximum 50X) microscope the student shall view the ferrule of a multimode connector and successfully inspect it for excess epoxy and contaminati
29、on. 5. Using a visual fault locator (VFL) the student shall successfully locate a break in a tight-buffered optical fiber. 6. Using a VFL the student shall successfully locate a macrobend in a tight-buffered optical fiber. 7. The components detailed below shall be placed together on a table and the
