FOREWORD: Past methods of technical data submittal have required vendors to cor,iply with numerous non-standard data specifications from different prime contractors,
3、 even though the ultimate customer may have been the same. The accompanying tables have been developed for use by prime contractors when requesting technical data from vendors or subcontractors. The first table lists the standard requirements which can be definitely specified. The second table is a
4、guide to be used for summarizing the test recuirements. The format of the tables has been made flexible in concept, since data requirements vary between the different services, and also between the bureaus, corps, commands, etc. within each service. The format has general application so as to minimi
5、ze updating, and is useful enough to justify prime contractors incorporation into their procurement systems. 2. SUNIItARY: The accompanying tables will provide the prime contractor with the means of conveying to subcontractors the exact requirements for data submittal. Acceptance of these forms as s
6、tandard will result in a more nearly universal understanding throughout industry of the relationship between prime contractors and subcontractors in the area of technical data requirements.
