16、with the manufacturers Commercialand Government Entity Code (CAGEC). For items less than 25.4 mm (1.000 in) in diameter, the PIN may bemarked on the outside diameter rather than the end and inclusion of the CAGEC is optional. Marking shall beby electrochemical etching, laser engraving, or laser dot
17、matrix marking in accordance with SAE AS478-7A2, -15A3, or -15B2. Marking with the manufacturers name (or logo) and part number in addition to the CAGECand PIN is optional but shall be restricted to the end with the CAGEC.3.7 Corrosion Protection3.7.1 COMPOSITION-AConnector tubes shall be anodized i
18、n accordance with AMS 2470 or MIL-A-8625, Type I,Class 1 unless otherwise specified.3.7.2 COMPOSITION-F AND COMPOSITION SConnector tubes shall be passivated in accordance with AMS-QQ-P-35.3.8 WorkmanshipConnector tubes and related items shall be free of contaminants such as lint, dirt, shavingsand b
19、urrs, sharp edges or any other defects that could make the part unsatisfactory for the purpose intended.4. Quality Assurance Requirements4.1 General RequirementsInspection and testing for material mechanical properties, chemical composition,and other requirements shall be as specified in the applica
20、ble material specifications. Unless otherwisespecified by the procuring activity, connector tubes shall be examined for conformance to the requirements forconstruction (3.4), surface finish (3.5), marking (3.6), corrosion protection (3.7), and workmanship (3.8).Unless otherwise specified by the proc
21、uring activity, the sample plan for quality assurance shall be inaccordance with ASQ Z1.4 single sampling, general inspection level I, AQL 0.015.4.2 Chemical AnalysisUnless otherwise specified by the procuring activity, a chemical analysis shall beconducted on each lot of raw material used in manufa
22、cturing connector tubes to verify conformance to theapplicable material specification.5. The O-ring glands for the connector tubesare designed in accordance with SAE AS 4716 for single back-up rings.5.4 Restrictor, Check and Relief Valve Inserts for Connector TubesThe tubes described in Figure 3 andTable 2 are designed to accept restrictor, check or relief val
25、ves. Not all of the available products of theestablished diameter will always fit within the length of the tube bores. In such cases, connecting passagesmust provide sufficient clearance for the protruding ends; i.e., at least equal to the maximum B1 and B2dimensions, as applicable. Consult product

27、fications MIL-C-24714 and MIL-C-24714/1. SAE J24714 part numbers are interchangeable withM24714/1 part numbers with the same dash numbers. (A “M” prefix was used for the military part numbersand a “J” prefix is used to designate the SAE part numbers. The ”/1” from the Military part number has beende
28、leted since J24714 has no separate specification sheet.) Dimensions herein are similar to the dimensions inMIL-C-24714/1. The outside diameter (dimension A in Table 1) and length (dimension C) of the parts areunchanged. The gland inside diameter and gland width (dimensions D and E in Table 1) of som

Some changes have been made to the dimensionsfor the tubes for restictors, check valves and relief valves to accommodate additional configurations.
