For the purposes of this part of the code, contract administration starts with instructions to the contractor to commence work as set out in Subclause 4 of Section 0. IPWEDIAT

7、ELY AFTER THE HANDING OVER OF THE SITE. The engineer should give immediate attention to all matters necessary to ensure that the start of the contract is not adverse1.y affected by lack of information. In particular, for each curve in the kerbing, he should provide pegs or data from which finished a

DURING CONSTRUCTION 3.1 METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION 3.1.1 Construction of Truly Straight and Neatly Jointed Extruded Kerhing (Subclauses 5.4 and 6.1). Forms should be accurately set to line and level and should be firmly held in position durin

9、q the placing of the concrete. In order to achleve this, line and level pegs should be inserted at the following spacings : a) Straight and constant grade 10 m b) Horizontal curves, radii greater than 15 m, and vertical curves 5 m C) Bellmouths, closes, and radll of 15 m and less 2 m Each guide line

10、 should be set accurately to the line and level pegs and sufficient intermediate supports should be provided at intervals not greater than 3 m to give a smooth alignment. On each curve of radius 15 m and less the maximum angular deflection of the line at intermediate supports should be 3 O. Stops at

In practice it is very difficult to comply with the requirements of the specification. 3.2.2 Concrete-Lined Open Drains (Subclause 5.6 and 8.2.13).
