The standard further defines terms and definitions
15、related to addresses in South Africa. This standard is applicable to addresses covering the whole of South Africa. The standard applies to addresses that describe the physical location of a point of service delivery, and that could be geo-referenced. The standard includes definitions for address typ
16、es that are assigned by the official address issuing body (such as the street address type), as well as address types that are commonly in use (such as the farm and informal address types). 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this docume

The name shall be used unless the system cannot accommodate names longer than ten characters in which case the short name may be used. Annex A has a

If the address type does not require this field to be mandatory its value is NULL. Examples -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 Notes/Comments
35、 This element refers to the actual level above or below the ground while the floor identifier in section 5.4.3 appears in the building. For example, in the IT building on the UP campus the ground floor is identified as 2. For this building the floor identifier is 2 and the elevation level is 0. 4.2.
