Inparticular, it describes the wideband data system and services that currently may beperformed by communicatio

23、ns equipment conforming to this standard.Generally, the Wideband Data System and Standards Definition have beendeveloped by TIA TR-8.5 to be consistent with the Statement of Requirementsadopted by the National Coordination Committees Interoperability Subcommittee,WG6 Wideband Data. This document ref

24、erences that the primary user needsdocument will be “APCO Project 25/34 Statement of Requirements (P34SOR)”.This TSB provides a highlight of the user requirements, a description of user packetdata services, identifies the system configurations and references models, anddefines the overall structure

25、of the Wideband Data Standards Series. It includes aninformative annex describing the general Internet Architecture because it will beused as the baseline system model to aid in the convergence and interoperation ofwired and wireless networks.The TIA makes no claims as to the applicability of the in

26、formation contained in thisdocument for any purpose although it is believed that the information will prove to beinvaluable to designers of wideband data compliant equipment. Wideband Data System RequirementsThis section describes several high level interoperability and technologyrequirements. The detailed list of user r

42、equirements and technical issues have beenprovided by the FCCs NCC and has additionally used applicable parts of theAPCO Project 34 Statement of Requirements. The following detailed userrequirements documents are referenced: Federal Communications Commissions, National Coordination Committees(NCCs),

43、 Interoperability Subcommittees, WG 6, Wideband Data, User NeedsStatement of Requirements (SOR), approved version APCO Project 25/34 New Technology Standards Project, Statement ofRequirements (SOR), version 4.03.1 InteroperabilityThe first major NCC requirement is to insure that all wideband data ra

44、dios from anyagency shall communicate on the interoperability channels with all other widebandradios. The vision is to maximize fast and efficient high-speed data interoperabilityamong public safety agencies in the 700 MHz band.3.1.1 System and Equipment InteroperabilityThe following definitions are

45、 used to define the difference between interoperabilityand interworking.3.1.1.1 Direct Subscriber Unit InteroperabilityThe ability for a subscriber unit from vendor “A“ to use a defined set of standardfeatures when operating with a subscriber unit from vendor “B“. Proper systemadministrator subscrib

46、er unit commissioning will provide this.3.1.1.2 Subscriber Unit to FNE InteroperabilityThe ability for a subscriber unit from vendor “A“ to use a defined set of standardfeatures when operating on a FNE from vendor “B“. This may be provided bysystem administrator commissioning or automatically throug

47、h system interworkingfunctions.3.1.1.3 System InterworkingThe ability for infrastructures from two different vendors to provide a defined set ofstandard services to subscriber units that spans the domain of one, or bothsystems.3.1.2 Packet Data ConnectivityIt is important to note that the industry h

48、as many complex combinations of computingnetwork connections and addressing options from which selections have beenmade to foster the underlying principal of data interoperability. The TIA-102 series specifies Internet Protocol version 4 as the packetdata bearer service; and support of this connectivity fosters interoperability withnarrowband data systems.3.2 Channel BandwidthsThe second major NCC requirement is to support and describe operations in thethree wideband channels bandwidths of 50 kHz, 100 kHz, and 150 kHz, asspecified by FCC WT Docket 96-86. This requirement additionally supports APCOProject 34s desire for a standard
