It provides for several improvements to telephone interconect calls on conventional P
37、roject 25 systems. These include availability checks on incoming calls, improved call progress indications and improved call tear down procedures. 1.1 Scope This addendum specifies optional improved procedures for handling telephone interconect calls on conventional Project 25 systems. As an addendu
38、m to TIA/EIA-102.BADA, this document only includes information relevant to the above enhancements. The reader is referred to TIA/EIA-102.BADA for all other information regarding Project 25 telephone interconnect requirements and definitions. The next complete revision of TIA/EIA-102.BADA will incorp

The subscribers equipment may optionally accept Acknowledgment, Deny or Queued Response
44、Signals as per reference 1.2.3, as call progress indications and provide an appropriate indication to the user. 2.1.2 Interoperability Subscriber equipment (SU) which is capable of receiving these optional signals shall assume that the telephone interconect request was successful if no signaling is
45、received in response to its Telephone Interconect Request. It shall play the audio it receives to the user as described in 2.1.2.4 of TIA/EIA-102.BADA. This provides Interoperability for outgoing phone calls between subscriber equipment (SU) that supports this addendum and RFSS that do not. 2.2 Avai
46、lability check on Conventional Channels This clause extends clause 2.4.2 of TIA/EIA-102.BADA 2.2.1 Response to Telephone Interconnect Answer Request. Optionally for an individual PSTN call to an individual user: Upon receipt of a Telephone Interconnect Answer Request, the subscriber equipment (SU) m
47、ay alert the user in some manner. The users decision to accept the call or not, shall be sent back via a Telephone Interconnect Answer Deny or Proceed Response as per reference 1.2.3. The RF sub-system behavior in this situation is described in section 3.3 2.2.2 Interoperability Interoperability doe
48、s not preclude the ability of the subscriber equipment (SU) to accept an individual call addressed to it that was not preceded by the above availability check. Any telephone interconnect capable subscriber equipment, receiving incoming telephone interconect voice addressed to it, shall present this voice to the user even if this has not this has been preceded by an availability check. The user may then respond as described in clause 2.4.2 of TIA/EIA-102.BADA It is assumed that the telephone use
