、N This Standard establishes voice transmission performance requirements for speakerphone-equipped digital interface communications devices. For devices that also have a handset or headset or both, standards TIA-920.110-B and TIA-920.130-A, respectively, apply. ANSI/TIA-920.120-A included the additio
、n of output level measurements for send and receive. Also, send and receive parameters could be measured using either the output level method or the loudness rating method. The current revision only utilizes output level measurements (removes the loudness rating method) and combines the wideband req
、uirements previously found in TIA-920.120-A and the narrowband speakerphone requirements previously found in ANSI/TIA-810-B into one document with full American National Standard (ANS) status. Although wideband is defined as covering 100 to 7000 Hz, the audio bandwidth of the wideband devices covere
、d by this Standard is generally limited to approximately 150 to 6800 Hz for practical reasons. The bandwidth of the narrowband devices is approximately 300 to 3400 Hz. Test setup arrangements for handheld devices with speakerphone such as cordless handsets have been added. The nomenclature in the st
、andard has been changed from “telephones” to “communications devices” in recognition that the products covered extend well beyond the traditional concept of a telephone. Finally, the structure of the document has been modified to place the requirements for receive performance before those for send p
、erformance since the establishment of the Nominal Volume Control Setting is a necessary prerequisite for many of the tests. ANSI/TIA-920.120-B 1 COMMUNICATIONS PRODUCTS TRANSMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIGITAL INTERFACE COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES WITH SPEAKERPHONES 1 SCOPE This standard establishes transmission performance requirements for speakerphone devices that function as narrowband (300 to 3400 Hz) or wideband (100 to 7000 Hz)1 digital interface communica
