3、de input current limits during lamp startingand lamp out conditionsDECISION:Clause 20.1 revised to include the following exception:Exception: The current input shall not be more than 125% of the marked rating during lampstarting and lamp out conditions.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:Clause 20.1 requires bal

4、lasts to draw no more than 110% of their marked current rating in order tominimize the likelihood of tripping the branch circuit protection. The Standard does not specifyrequirements for current draw during transient conditions, such as lamp starting and lamp out. UL practicehas been to allow ballas

5、ts to draw up to 125% of their marked current rating during these transientoperating conditions which, due to their short-term nature, will not have an impact on (time-delayed)branch circuit protection devices or on the overall current-handling capacity of the wiring system. Addingthis exception to
