The Standard does not specifyrequirements for current draw during transient conditions, such as lamp starting and lamp out. UL practicehas been to allow ballas
5、ts to draw up to 125% of their marked current rating during these transientoperating conditions which, due to their short-term nature, will not have an impact on (time-delayed)branch circuit protection devices or on the overall current-handling capacity of the wiring system.
