46、ss the car is within the landing zone.As there may be no positive mechanical connection between the electric contact and the door lockingmechanism, this device ensures only that the door will be closed, but not necessarily locked, when thecar leaves the landing. Should the lock mechanism fail to ope
47、rate as intended when released by astationary or retiring car-cam device, the door can be opened from the landing side even though the caris not at the landing. If operated by a stationary car-cam device, it does not prevent opening the doorfrom the landing side as the car passes the floor.3.5 HOIST
